Now don’t get me wrong. I do still love Facebook for certain things like staying in touch with my husband’s extended family in Powell River who are all great at updating their photos and status. But I’m finding myself losing interest in updating my page and not being as involved or engaged with Facebook. You would think after 3 years, 82 photo albums and a million status updates I’d be loyal to Facebook forever….. that is not the case. Although I’ll never delete my account I will be using less and less. I don’t know if Twitter will captivate my attention for a long time or what new social media craziness I’ll actively participate with in the future. For now Twitter has me in a happy place. I’m just waiting for the rest of my world to follow.

From sad news to some exciting news… Dr. Bachelor and his new sweetie have called it splits. They are blaming the break up on the rules of the show. They were living in the same city and were unable to acknowledge their relationship or their existence to each other. He used to see her on the street for Pete’s sake. Anyways.. the good news for me is NOT the break-up… its all about the rumours that this may lead to the cancellation of the show in its entirety! SWEET!! I won’t hold my breath though…..

At least they’ll always have Paris…. LOL

BIG PROPS to our friends Clif and Jen who threw a kick ass Oscar party tonight!! Thank God for that!

All in all it was a night for Giesha, Brokeback, and Crash. Reese surprisingly took it home for her portrayal of June Carter in Walk The Line, Hoffman took home best actor for Capote, Crash won for best pic of the year (wow!), Clooney took one of three for his supporting role in Syriana and Rachel Wesz now has a Globe and an Oscar this year for her supporting role in The Constant Gardener. It’s all about the long flowy dresses tonight. While nude seemed to be colour of choice… my breath was taken with this saucy tourquoise number worn by the voluptuous Salma Hayek. Hands down my favorite dress of the night.

There’s speculation that Britney is pregnant again. The smut hounds are still scratching their heads over this one cause she’s known to f*ck with the tabloids for pure entertainment. Having said that, judging by some recent pics it looks like she just may be carrying another Federline in the oven. She was on track at getting her figure back but she’s been spotted in Hawaii looking like this lately:

So it’s no secret that I’m hooked on American Idol. Last night’s first night on the big stage with the ladies was great. Loved the good, the bad, and the Cowell! I was, however, disappointed in Becky O’Donahue. She shat the bed big time in true karaoke style. Luckily for her AND her twin that she can quit her day job. Stick to modelling girls! Check out their picks in the next Maxim.

And my all time favorite story of the day? Actually its just the picture worth a thousand words… I’ll leave with you with the crotch shot of the day. Oh Paris. You are all class! (p.s. Look a little closer….Who’s the girl passed out on the floor?)

BTW How can you even asociate Pammy Anderson with true Hollywood? Miss Double-D star, at best, is nothing more than her double carry-ons. Is this the new Hollywood? Is this what dreams are made of? I guess Ford’s Hollywood is more silicone than gold. And if it is…There are many other breastestests in Tinsletown more worthy of munching on. You’re back in my bad books again, Tom.

Britney gone done it AGAIN. Can we have a week free of Spears-scandal? She was doing all good after the baby crazy thing and the Grammys were happening and Oops.. she did it again. I’m gonna shut up now about this one. Let the photos tell the story. This girl can not afford a wardrobe malfunction.

Alicia Keys wins hands down for me in the wardrobe department. I didn’t even recognize her. She didn’t even have one corn row in her doo! In a very saucy black lace low cut dress, she was lookin’ her best next to Stevie Wonder tonight.

My personal fav moments of the night include a 2001 video re-cap of a pig-tailed Kelly Clarkson, star eyed and so green. She was going on about how it has always been her dream to perform at the Grammy’s… nice segue into her ballad. She looked very classy in a floor length red gown. She took home TWO Grammys tonight. (No shout out from her to her Idol roots)

Gwen Stefani looked amazing in a very original preggo gown tonight. Very demure. She must be practising for motherhood. Greenday’s Billy Joe Armstrong paid a nice tribute to Les Paul, who was in the hospital tonight.

Hometown boy Michael Buble was a bit odd looking tonight. From waist up he was wearing a formal tuxedo jacket with his jeans. How Canadian of him. Still.. I was proud to see him dish it out like a natural next to the boney Teri Hatcher. That woman gets around. Someone get her a sandwich.

Mariah knocked me off my couch tonight. Standing O for her 2-song performance. She may have packed on some poundage… but she still has the pipes. That girl is in a league of her own.

Kanye West had to be the most disappointing all around. He didn’t win me over with his style. He didn’t win me over with his performance (sorry but Gwen’s done the school marching band act already- again at the MTVs) And his highly anticipated speech, which I’m sure had everyone at the edge of their seats, consisted nothing more than him with a white peice of paper that read THANK YOU LIST on the side facing the audience. Even his final line left no Oooos and ahhhhs- “Feels good to be home” BORING.

The greatest part of the night took place 42 minutes into the show when U2 sang my wedding song. ‘One’ is not a song you see sung live often on television so I savored every moment. It gave me chills. I still haven’t figured out whether I liked Mary J Blige, but it was unique nonetheless. U2 added 4 Grammys to their 2 at home, including 1 for best album of the year.

It was an overall forgettable night.

Let’s start with my favorite story of the day. Ms. Federline has gone and lost her mind. Oh…. my….sweet….. potato pie…. what could I possible say to out smart this photo? I get it, Brits… I get that the pooparazzi’s are f*cken crazy. They will kill your baby if it gives them the million dollar photo. HOWEVER. Think clearer, Britney. Let the blonde escape you for 2 seconds. Nothing is going to sell better than a shot of your baby through the front windshield. I know… I’m a child of the 70s… I rode in the front of the car standing, with my hands on the dashand felt like the champ….. Britney.. take the two secs to buckle in your babe the next time you have to dine and dash.

In a bizarre twister story, on the same day, the crazy shooter that risked the safety of Reese Witherspoon’s kids died mysteriously. Eerie. I knew that snob had balls but do you think she was behind the hit?

Fellow Island girl (Vancouver Island), Kim Cattrall has her sites on her next conquest. She’s about to rock the set of Desperate Housewives. Maybe I’ll tune in to watch for once. Crazy rich b*tches living next to murders makes a hot show not for this girl… however… get my girl Samantha on that set and I’ll grin through the hour for sure. (Good side story in the link about why “Samantha” was the root of her divorce… he didn’t like the “story-line” much )

From beauty to beast… check out this loser-slash-fanatic who thought leaving a permanant marker on his arm would buy him some fans. On the flip side… millions were talking about his ridiculous signs of looney toons affection on the gossip blogs today.

Check out Socialite’s shots of Michael Douglas frolicking with his wife and his kids. There was a time when I thought Douglas was a hottie. Romancing the Stone. Wall Street. Basic Instinct. All good stuff. I have to be honest. He’s out of his league now with Cat. Watch for a break-up soon for these two. I heard from a couple of actors in Toronto that she was a real princess on the set of Chicago… Wouldn’t surprise me if she took grandpa for all he was worth. I actually hope I’m wrong on this one. (Damn… why does she have to look so good after squeezing out her kids. Poo.)

Quirky story of the day definitely goes to Brian Dunkleman. Remember the weird looking kid that stood next to Seacrest on the first season of American Idol? Well someone made him a host again. (Of course its an Idol spin-off) Let’s hope this one pays the bills for a lot longer than his illustrious stint on AI, circa 2002.

And last but not least… here’s the hot Vanity Fair cover that’s heating up the blogwaves. Yowzers. Couldn’t we have thrown a hotter guy into the mix? Ford? Really? He looks like Jeremy Piven.. and that’s not a good thing.

On a sidenote: Keira Knightley’s boney body makes Scarlett look like a beached whale. I hate Tom Ford’s Hollywood. Nothing but skinny b*tches. Kudos to my girl ScarJo for going buff with her Boticelli body. She’s bootilicious. Someone feed Keira… please. Tom looks hungry too.
