I am in the same boat in that I am way more active on Twitter nowadays than on Facebook. I LOVED Facebook for a long time; I was and still can be a very active user, but I have to agree with Jordan, too. Twitter has a different audience than Facebook. It's not for everyone, because then... it wouldn't be cool anymore. It's like the old saying, "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."

Twitter is great that it is so immediate and easy to do, and I love it too, most days.

But I think that in order for something to completely replace Facebook as the 'cool new thing,' (the way Facebook did to MySpace, for many of us) the new thing would have to have a more complete set of networking options, the way Facebook does. (The general public (like my aunties!) aren't likely to ever get the same amount of value from Twitter as they have from Facebook without photo albums, video sharing, groups, etc.

Thanks for the comment John. I was totally in love with Facebook to start actually. I hated MySpace immediately but Facebook was great for the sheer fact that everyone I knew was on it already. It has put me in touch with a lot of old friends! Finding people on Twitter isn't as easy.

I think we can both agree that the romance (or bromance) of Facebook has been lost to our new love of Twitter.

Completely and totally agree. I log into Facebook maybe once every two or three weeks. I love that people can follow me and whatnot, but it never captured me, if not annoyed me more often than none.

Both have their merits, but my default has gotta be Twitter.
