Vancouver’s Best Places to Buy Things for Baby Boys

When you walk into a kids store, especially in the clothing section, the girls’ stuff outnumbers the boys’ stuff by 3 to 1. In Vancouver, it’s no different. I will admit that it is hard to find great stuff for boys anywhere but there are a few gems I’ve found along the way that I’d like to share with you.

H & M

I started going out to Coquitlam Centre to shop for baby boy clothes because it was the only place that had an H & M before. They have the BEST stuff for 0-3 months! I first became hooked on H & M’s affordable trendy knock-offs when I lived in Toronto. Now I head there for all my boy’s staples, shopping mainly at the Pacific Centre location since it opened last year. I bought up all of their onesies and little shirts in every colour. He wears them everyday practically. Now that my son is almost a year old he can wear their clothes as well. They have the best hoodies and sweaters! Don’t forget to check out the baby accessory wall near the cashier. The entire infant section is hidden in the back on the top floor so ask if you get lost! It’s worth it!

The GAP

I know it seems so generic to shop at the GAP but they really have a great little boys section. Granted it’s small like every other boys section but the clothes are nice and they last the wear and tear and continuous washes. I usually wait till everything goes on sale. They  always have alot of stuff on sale. Since there’s a GAP in every mall I like to just swoop in and then swoop out once I’ve quickly picked over the sale racks. I’m really good at it. It’s like the speed reading version of shopping. I can scan clothing with lightening speed.

The Great Canadian Superstore

You either love Superstore or you hate it. I have a love hate relationship with Superstore but I have gotten it down to a science with my shopping path there. It is the best place to get all of your baby stuff. Diapers, formula, clothing and food. In fact, they make a fantastic organic jar food line! And it’s the same price as regular jar food. My son lived on it for months when we first introduced solids.

I must brag about their Joe line. It is AWESOME! Many of the pieces come in organic cotton and their fashions are adorable! I have bought a ton from there for my son. The girls collection is ridiculously cute but I have found some fantastic things for my son. From birth to toddler to small child this collection is a must-have. Don’t let the grocery store environment fool you. Your son will look stylish from head to toe!
