Finding a Rhythm
It’s already the last week of February and I haven’t posted a thing since the end of 08 so what am I waiting for?
I don’t know. I was hoping something utterly profound was going to happen and be the cause for written jubilation on the ol personal website. A start 09 with a bang of a blog post….. It is only now that I realize that being a mother of a small baby has initiated this life rhythm, one of which is certainly not captivating enough to write about. Basically, feeding, napping, changing diapers and spending hours watching him discover the world.
But my dear friend Mary and her blog has inspired me to write a post today. This year will be the 21st year of our friendship. It has been a wonderful 2 decades so far. Her beautiful words have given me motivation to write something today. Send something out there about something….Be a little personal. Sometimes when I’m choosing between writing a business blog post or a personal one, it’s evident that I choose to talk shop instead of opening up.
Nothing extraordinarily profound to say today. My last 10 months have been filled with a so much joy and happiness spending it with Jaxon. As a mother with a career it’s hard now, 1 month from returning to work, not to feel utterly panic-stricken. It’s hard to suppress the anxiety of leaving your baby all day and choosing to return to work. Having said that, I am excited about this year. It’s challenges and its successes.
In time I will find a new rhythm.
I leave you with a shot of my son, Jaxon, from my flickr page. I have taken up photography as a hobby and he is of course my favourite subject.
Happy New Year. I hope your 2009 is filled with extradinarily profound moments.
