Alex’s IMDb.com page

Alex Lee in Urban Zoo

This photo is from one of my acting first parts in an Independent film. (1998)

I’ll take you to 2001, when I got a call from a local talent agent. She had seen me on my Entertainment beat on TV and told me she had the perfect “part” for me. It was playing a reporter for this Movie of the Week that was shooting in town. I won the audition and got 3 hours in hair and make-up, my tiny trailer to chill in, one hour on set, and my first credit into the union. From there I was just 3 quick credits away to becoming a full member.

After spending a year as a full time actor in Toronto I think I could call myself a pro. I got a sick agent, and let me tell you…that’s the HARDEST part… oh.. well…besides the audition. But that lead to me to attending a kazillion auditions. And…At least I got a few parts! And yes… they paid real well ;) .

IMDb.com is a widely used website. But it wouldn’t be unusual for someone not to know about it. It’s just one of the google-esk search engines. But it’s anyone from a television junkie to a superstar director or actor that uses this site or is plugged into this site. I got my face-less page awhile back. I popped up on a cast list for one of the films I was in. So there I was. In IMDb land. I was proud to be Alex Lee (III). (Whoo!!)

But wait…there was another Alex Lee. Alex Lee (VII)… and she had some of the same credits. I’ll send the IT folks at IMDb and have that cleared right up.. but I digress. The most exciting news to share are the head shots I have associated with the page.

It’s a good moment for this on-the side-actor. Four credits and about a dozen sweet commercials later and viola! An IMDb page, picture and all.
