Just as suspected…. The Oscars this year were a snooze-fest!

The Academy gave out its honours for the 78th time tonight. Jon Stewart hosted and his opener was pretty sweet. He was the true champ after having a slew of old hosts say no thanks before the honour was asked upon him… and he had them make a cameo in the opening pre-taped squence. Kudos to Steve Martin, Whoopi, Mel Gibson and Letterman for their bits. Tee hee funny.Unfortunately the rest of the 78th Academy Awards ceremony was a three and a half hour snooze. Just ask Charlize Theron.. She had a pillow installed on her gown just to get through it all.

BIG PROPS to our friends Clif and Jen who threw a kick ass Oscar party tonight!! Thank God for that!

All in all it was a night for Giesha, Brokeback, and Crash. Reese surprisingly took it home for her portrayal of June Carter in Walk The Line, Hoffman took home best actor for Capote, Crash won for best pic of the year (wow!), Clooney took one of three for his supporting role in Syriana and Rachel Wesz now has a Globe and an Oscar this year for her supporting role in The Constant Gardener. Crash won for best original screenplay and Brokeback won best Adapted Screenplay and Ang Lee won for best director. For the full meal deal you can check out http://www.oscar.com/.

Now for the sweet and sour.
(will add the pics as they come available)
